Top 10 Medical Universities have the most number of students registering in the US
Medical Experts predict that the shortage of doctors will be great in the next decade, but the number of candidates to present is never deficient. According to the count of Association of American Medical Universities, the number of input register of Medical School within 2012-2013 increased by 3.1% as compared with the previous year.
The schools in the east coast this year continue attending most on 10 top medical schools having the largest number of registering. George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences is ranked in the top position. Next, the Drexel University College of Medicine is ranked 2nd.
Although the schools in top 10 this year are not in the 20 best medical schools in 2014, but the input competition is very stressful. The average number of registering into schools of top10 are about 10 812, which is double the average number counted in the overall.
Within the school year 2012-2013, George Washington received 14,700 registration dossiers but only 2.1% were admitted. Drexel also received 12,690 and the pass rate was just below 5%.
This year,Tufts Medical University with 8318 candidates is ranked at No. 10. And Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva Uviversity , although increases more than 100 candidates registering but not enough conditions in the top 10 last year.
Sanford School of Medicine of South Dakota Sanford University has the lowest registering number with only 525 candidates. And Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine ranking 5th in the top 10 are not included in the rank published by US News in the field of research, but it is at No. 62 on criteria of initial medical care.
